{"id":2751,"date":"2025-09-25T15:00:43","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T13:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snnu.uni-saarland.de\/?p=2751"},"modified":"2025-09-25T15:00:43","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T13:00:43","slug":"visit-from-prof-erik-bojorquez-vazquez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.snnu.uni-saarland.de\/?p=2751","title":{"rendered":"Visit from Prof. Erik Bojorquez-V\u00e1zquez"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"text-align:justify; line-height:1.6;\">\n<p>This week, we had the great pleasure of welcoming <b>Prof. Erik Bojorquez-V\u00e1zquez<\/b> from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City to the Systems Neuroscience &#038; Neurotechnology Unit.<\/p>\n\n<figure style=\"margin:1rem 0; text-align:center;\">\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.snnu.uni-saarland.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250922_presentation.jpg\"\n       alt=\"Prof. Bojorquez-V\u00e1zquez presenting his research\"\n       style=\"max-width:100%; height:auto; display:block; margin:0 auto;\">\n<\/figure>\n\n<p>His visit sparked inspiring discussions about potential collaborations in the field of <i>brain-computer interfaces (BCI)<\/i> and <i>neural signal analysis<\/i>. Prof. Bojorquez-V\u00e1zquez also delivered an engaging talk on his recent research, focusing on the <b>bidirectional intrinsic modulation of EEG band power time series<\/b> and its promising applications for BCI systems.<\/p>\n\n<p>Beyond the scientific exchange, we also enjoyed showing him around our laboratories, where he had the chance to experience some of our experimental setups firsthand (see picture below).
